Today I got to spend some one-on-one time with my precious little angel girl. I haven't been able to do that since the little man arrived. Deb came over and kept Sawyer while I took Sadie up to First Baptist to play in their Family Life Center. It was so much fun!!! I forgot what it was like to have only one child! I can't believe I ever thought it was difficult to have one child! It seemed like a piece of cake today. But,hindsight is 20/20! Had I known, I would've appreciated my time with her so much more when it was just the 2 of us. But, we had a ball today. I took some pictures and a couple of videos. I think this is where I'm going to have her 2nd birthday party, b/c they have an awesome party room attached to the play area where they hold parties. You can rent out the whole play area and the party room for 2 hours to have a birthday party. I think all of the kids would have so much fun. Anyways, here are a few pics and videos from our girls day today! Thanks Grammy for giving me some relief! It was definitely needed, and I know that Sadie appreciated it too!!
Here are the 2 videos I took of her playing. It's so funny to watch these because when I first took her there a few months ago, she wasn't even walking yet, and now she's climbing all over the place!! Man, time flies!!!!

Yucky Weekend Update
Well, this weekend didn't start off so well. First of all, my sis-in-law got me a ticket to the pre-sale for the consignment sale at Forest Hills in Franklin. Thanks, Rach!!! Usually, I rack up!!! But, I only found like 5 things and was so sad!!!! It could've been because I was not feeling well at all and wasn't in the mood to fight for position while looking on the clothing racks. I kept telling myself the whole way out there that I just ate something bad for lunch and that is why my stomach felt uneasy. But by the time I got home that evening, it had worsened. I ended up throwing up and not sleeping a wink all night long because I was so sick. I was having hot spells, and then I'd be so cold that my whole body would be tingling, then I'd get hot again, etc. It was absolutely miserable. And, I was still having to be up nursing Sawyer during all of this. I felt like I was going to die! So, Friday was absolutely miserable. I wasn't throwing up anymore, but I had not eaten anything in over a day and I was still nursing, so my energy was GONE! My sweet dad was heading into town, so he stopped and got me some Sprite and some crackers. Thank the Lord for DAD!! He came over and he put Sawyer to sleep for me in about 3 minutes, and he sat with me until Sadie went down for her nap. Then he left so that I could get some rest. All I wanted was for Dennis to get home so that I could get some relief! Sure enough, Dennis called on his way home and said that he was doing everything he could not to throw up! What??? Are you kidding me????? The tears started to fall. I couldn't take care of my sick self, 2 kids, and a sick husband!!!! Seriously??? He had it pretty bad too. Bless his heart. But, somehow, we made it through. I prayed and prayed, and God gave me the strength I needed to do it all.
Saturday was very uneventful, obviously. Dennis still felt like poop, I was starting to feel a little better but I still hadn't eaten. I took the kids with me to Target to grab a few necessities and the rest of the day we did nothing.
Saturday night, I HAD to get out of the house, so we went to my Grandma's for just a little while because my dad and sis were hanging out over there on the screened-in porch. Plus, I knew Sadie was getting cabin fever and they have a great backyard that she could run around in. Here are a few pics from over there.
Sunday, we got up and went to church. Sawyer and I spent the service in the "nursing mother's room", which was fine. They have a TV in there with the sermon on, so I still feel like I'm getting to be a part of the service. It's so funny because he conks out during the music, so we always think he's going to stay asleep. And like clockwork, the second the music stops and the preacher starts, his eyes shoot straight open and he starts getting fussy, so I have to leave. Anyways, we came home and did nothing all day. Deb and LJ had graciously offered to come over and babysit so that Dennis and I could have a night out, but we had to take a raincheck because our tummy's still aren't feeling very settled. Thanks Grammy and Capt'n for offering!!! We'll definitely take you up on that soon!
Here's some cute pics of Dennis and Sawyer "watching" Sunday night Football.
So, I'm glad that this weekend is behind us and we can start a new week. The weather is supposed to be awesome this week and I'm so excited!
By the way, my sis found a job! She started last week and she's doing awesome, so thank you all for praying! She is working as the office manager at a brand new chiropractic office in Gallatin. So, if you need any chiropractic work done, let me know and I'll give you the information!

Sawyer Update
Thanks to everyone who has continued praying for Sawyer and his jaundice ordeal. I took him yesterday for his 2-month check up and Dr. Johnson said that he looked so good that he didn't even repeat the bilirubin check, which would've required Sawyer to have his heel pricked again for the gazillionth time. Praise the Lord!
He weighed 11 and 1/2 pounds, which is in the 50th percentile, making him right on track. He is already half of Sadie's weight right now. She better start eating!!!He's still sleeping great and he is finally smiling at me, which absolutely melts my heart.
This morning, I caught Sadie trying to put her pink shoe on Sawyer's foot. Bless his heart. It's only just begun. I can just see her now...trying to get Sawyer to play "dress up" with her in a few years. We gotta get this boy some trucks! ha ha

Christmas in September???
Little Ms. Sadie Jane has been a little spoiled this weekend. Saturday night, Grammy brought her a neat new coloring tool by Crayola. You add water to the "magical pen" and you can write on the coloring pad with it and it looks as though you've painted a picture. As it dries, it goes back to being white so that you can start over. Sadie has loved playing with it!
Sunday afternoon, Dennis took Sadie to our old neighbors' house to pick up her Barbie Jeep. They were going to sell it in their garage sale, but offered to sale it to us for only $25! So, Dennis took her for her first ride in Dada's truck and they went and picked it up.
She's still a little small for it, but we know once she grows into it and gets comfortable pushing the pedal and stuff, she'll love it!! It's a little old, but I doubt she'll ever know the difference.
Then, Sunday night, my mom came by and brought Sadie each of the WonderPets characters. She was so excited and has yet to put them down! She slept with them last night and had to have them with her all day today. It's hilarious!
So, needless to say, Sadie has had Christmas in September this weekend! I hope she doesn't get used to this! ha ha

Disclaimer
For some reason, the blog entry that I posted below didn't post right. I'm not sure what happened. It could be because of the slide shows of pictures that I put on there, but I just wanted to make sure that everyone knew that I didn't forget how to type. It cut off a lot of my words at the end of the line for some reason.???? And, it took all of my stuff that I had to the right of my entries and put it all the way at the bottom of the page. Hopefully, I can get this corrected.

Fun Times with the Fam
Saturday was a fun day. Dennis smoked a Boston Butt all day, we watched football, played a lot, took a power nap, went shopping and just hung out. My kind of day. We also took lots of pictures because all 4 of us were dressed in orange. Tonight we had Rachel, Daren, McHaney, Deb, and LJ over for dinner. As I said before, Dennis smoked his first Boston Butt all day long (it was delicious, by the way...I was very impressed with his first attempt!), so we wanted to have them over for dinner so that we could all enjoy it together. I have tons of pictures from the day!
This morning, we were playing around and we took this picture of Sawyer. I compared it with one that we took of Sadie when she was a baby and it amazes me the similarity. What do you think?
Anyways, I wanted to share all of the pics from the day/night. We took almost 80-something pictures all day! Good grief! It was a lot of fun though.
And, as you can see from my blog page, we FINALLY got a family photo!!! Even though we are a bit embarassed to wear our UT gear at this moment. Oh well, there's always next year. ha ha (Famous last words, right?)

Just wanted everyone to know that I started a Facebook page and I'd love for you to be "my friend!"
Don't worry, I won't slack on my blogging duties like so many of you have done! ha ha
I've just started my page, so I don't have many pictures and stuff up just yet, so stay tuned.
I may not even do it very well, because when I set up my My Space page a while back, I never even really went back to it.
I think I just enjoy the blogging thing better.
Anyways, just wanted to let everyone know in case you have a Facebook page too. I'd love to know!

Weekend Update
Well, Friday, I got to go and get my hair done. I hate getting my hair done though. I love the end result (no roots), but I just hate taking the time to do it. Plus, I'm extremely tender-headed, so it pretty much hurts the whole time, b/c my hairdresser is pulling and tugging on my hair, and it's just not very relaxing. Anyways, my ever-so-brave mom came over and kept BOTH of my kids all by herself. I had intended for my sis to come and give her a helping hand, but she ended up having something else to do, so my mom did it alone. I am sure the memories of having Rachel and I so close together (15 months apart) came flooding back as she learned to multitask two little ones again. I was so proud of her though. When I got home, everyone seemed extremely calm and happy. Thanks, mom!
Friday night, we didn't do anything. We grabbed Chili's take out and came home and chilled. I captured this cute video (Dennis, please don't kill me) of Dennis and Sadie watching "Wonder Pets". I thought it was so sweet.
Saturday, we went to Opry Mills. The GAP outlet was having a huge baby sale where everything was 40% off, and Sadie is in desperate need of Fall clothes, so I went and got her some things while Dennis entertained her in Bass Pro Shop. I had Sawyer with me. It actually went quite well. Saturday night we went to my mom's to celebrate Chance's 9th birthday. He's so precious. He is just the sweetest little boy in the world. I can already tell that one day he is going to be the greatest husband and father. He's just not your typical 9 year old little boy. He's just a doll.
Anyways, we just had cake and ice cream and let him open his presents.
Sunday, we got up and went to church. I took this picture of Sadie because I just thought she looked so darn cute! She looked like such a big girl.
Sawyer, once again, started crying as soon as the music ended in church, so Dennis missed the service once again. We're just not quite ready to hand him over to the nursery yet though. We'll know when the time is right. We didn't take Sadie until she was like 4 months old or something. I don't think we'll wait quite that long with Sawyer, but we're not ready just yet. Protein Boy was absent today, so I don't have any funny stories about him. I think the hurricane kept a few people home today, because the wind was crazy and it started to rain pretty hard for a little while.
Anyways, we lounged around all afternoon, which was nice. Then, we went to the grocery store and the kids were perfect. Thank goodness!
My dad came by for a visit tonight to see Sadie and Sawyer as he made his way through town for tonight. Sadie said "Poppy" several times, but of course not while he was here. It was so cute!!!
That was our fun weekend. Not too exciting, but it ended up being a good weekend. I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited about the Fall weather that is supposed to be here all week. I'm ready to get the kids outside and be able to take walks, etc. I hope the weather folks are right!

Boring Weekend Update
Okay, this weekend was so uneventful, I won't even bore you with what few activities we had going on. Pretty much nothing!
It was fine though. We needed a low key weekend for a change. I didn't mind it one bit.
I did have a "bloggable moment" during church this morning though.
Okay, so we're Baptist, therefore we sit in the same spot every Sunday. Don't all Baptists?? ha ha
Anyways, there's this couple that usually sits right down in front of us every Sunday. The dude, which I will now refer to as "Protein Boy", brings in a cooler every Sunday with him to the church service. He then proceeds to mix up a shake, which we think is a protein shake, because he's a large dude, and he drinks it during the service. What I don't understand is, why doesn't he mix it beforehand??? Must he bring a cooler into the sanctuary and mix it WHILE church is going on? I'm sorry. To each his own. But it absolutely cracks us up! Dennis nudges me every time he comes walking in. He sits with his wife and they seem like a very nice couple, but you can definitely tell he must be training to be "Mr. Tennessee" or something like that. Too much!!!! I just had to share it with my fellow bloggers out there.
Sawyer wasn't feeling church again today, so we had to take him out, but I'm planning to just keep him in there with us for maybe a couple more weeks, and then we'll put him in the nursery. I tried to get some pics of him in his cute little church outfit this morning, but this is all I got.
On a side note, please say a prayer for my sis. She's been working so hard to find a job since she's been back from Mercy for the past 2 weeks, and she's had NO luck at all! She's really seemed to be putting forth the effort every single day, and I can only imagine how frustrated she must be getting when she's getting no leads at all. She's mainly just looking for something administrative, but there's just not a whole lot out there right now. So, just keep her in your prayers that she will find a job quickly, but that it will the right job that God has prepared for her. And, if you hear of any job openings, let me know!

Momma said there'd be days like this...
I told my mom the other day that my new theme in life is "whatta ya do"? (Translation: what do you do?)
I feel like I ask myself that a million times a day!
I woke up this morning and decided I wanted to venture out and do a little shopping. I am not ashamed to say that I need some new clothes. I just can't fit into my old clothes yet after having Sawyer, so I need some "in between" clothes to last me for a little while until the rest of the weight comes off.
Anyways, I had a 20% coupon for Stein Mart, and our new one just opened, so I thought I'd run by there. Then, I was going to swing my Target, and then maybe head to Old Navy.
So, after I feed Sawyer, I realize he has exploded in his diaper. He's never really had an "explosion" yet, so I am assuming it's because his tummy is transitioning back to breastmilk from the formula. So, outfit #1 is down the drain. Poop was everywhere!! I think I used at least 10 wipes, and I'm not kidding. I get Sadie up, give her breakfast, etc. and am ready to head out the door. I go to pick up Sawyer and he has spit up all over his outfit. So, outfit #2, down the drain as well. (I don't mean literally down the drain...just can't be worn for the day) So, I get him changed AGAIN into outfit #3 and it's only 10:15 in the morning. He's only been awake for about an hour or so.
I load everyone up and we head to Stein Mart. Halfway there, I realize I left my coupon at home. Disappointment. But, I decide to go anyways. I pull up and see that half of Hendersonville has also decided to come to the new Stein Mart today. There were probably 150 cars or more there. No joke. So, I throw that idea out the window. I'm not going to dodge 200 people inside Stein Mart with a double stroller that is comparable in size to a small bus. I give up Target too, because at this point, I'm asking myself why I even decided to come out today...??
So, I go to get my car washed real quick and head to Old Navy. I get out, wiggle Sawyer by myself into the Baby Bjorne, which is not an easy task, b/c he's still pretty limp like a noodle (no help whatsoever). Once I get him situated and buckled in on front of me, I reach down on his leg and realize he's had yet another explosion!!!! It was running down his leg. So, I get him out of the Baby Bjorne, lay him in the front seat and change his diaper. I put him back in the Baby Bjorne, get Sadie out, head inside, and it only lasted about 5 minutes. Of all people, Sadie, not my newborn, just wasn't feeling it today. She did not want to sit in the buggy, but there was no way I could let her walk around the store and try to chase her while I had Sawyer attached to me. I guess we all have our "off" days. So, after all that work, we all get back in the car.
I wasn't ready to go home just yet, so I drove to Madison and ventured by my old house that I grew up in. It was a bit sad because it is starting to look run down. I can tell there are new owners, because they've re-done some things, and it doesn't look good.
Anyways, we finally got home and all is well now. Everyone is napping. I think I will think twice before heading out like that again and trying to do a million things at once with a 5 week old and an 18 month old! Don't ya think??

Random Pics from Yesterday
Dennis got home a little early last night from work. A meeting he was headed to got cancelled, so he re-routed and headed this way. It was so nice to have him home a little early like the "old days". When I heard the garage door open that early, my heart jumped! I was so excited. So, we decided to take a few pics and video. See below. This first one is of Sadie's new hair do. My mom put her hair in pigtails (somewhat) yesterday, and I thought it was so cute!!! The next one speaks for itself. Sadie sure does love her Dada. The few below are of Sadie and Sawyer laying in the floor together. I'm trying my best to capture pictures of them together at this age, but it's hard, because Sadie is on the run most of the time. Pay attention to the last one...Sadie is trying to give Sawyer some "milk".
Dennis took Sadie outside to play, which I haven't gotten to do in a while, so she was lovin' it.
The video below is of Sadie "barking" at the dogs next door.
The next video is of Sadie "reading". It is hilarious. This isn't her best work, but it's hard to capture it when she's actually doing it, so we tried last night when she started. I really think that she thinks she's reading to herself, and it's so precious. Obviously, no real words are coming out, but it's still pretty cute.
Lastly, we have tried to put the hammer down on Sadie having cheeseballs all of the time! But, if she eats a good dinner, we let that be her "dessert". She ate good last night, so we gave her some, and we had to capture this look.
Anyways, that was the extent of our fun afternoon/evening at home last night. I guess it's the little things that count these days. I was sitting in the recliner rocking Sawyer last night, and Sadie and Dennis were sitting at the window looking at the dogs outside, and I was overcome with thankfulness and gratitude for the precious family that God has blessed me with. Not all days are hunky dorey, so to speak, but I feel so lucky to be able to have a husband that allows me to stay home and be with these kids every day. Even on days like today!!! (I'll save it for a later post) Check back later...

Final Sawyer Update...hopefully!!!
I took Sawyer this morning to get his bloodwork done...again! It was pitiful. He shed his first real tear this morning, so I am guessing it was pretty painful. I hate when they have to take blood from the heel. Bless his heart.
Anyways, the doctor just called and said that his levels dropped a good amount, so all is well for now. I can continue breastfeeding (Praise the Lord!) and they will recheck his levels again in 3 weeks when I take him for his 2 month check-up.
So, for now things are looking great, and it's all an answered prayer.
Thank you all for praying for him. Hopefully, we can put this all behind us and move on with a healthy little boy.
By the way, he's already up to 10 pounds! Woa!
