Just one of them days!

Woe is me!!! I have to first admit that's what I've been saying all day long. It's just been a bad day! I literally woke up this morning not wanting to get out of bed. For no reason. I began to pray, and I did start to feel better. But, then I start to try and feed Sadie something for breakfast. Well, my child is eating basically nothing right now. She has gone from the BEST eater in the world to a child that will not eat anything! So, every single meal, we sit down, and I try a million different options to see what I can get her to eat. It's become very, very, very frustrating. She won't eat baby food anymore, but yet, she won't eat real food either. Anyways...after breakfast, we head off to Target and Kroger. I'm still having to pray constantly, b/c I just can't seem to shake the feeling that I just want to burst into tears. One of my favorite Christian songs comes on the radio, and as I'm singing along, the station starts to get static, and I can barely hear the song. Of course....anyways, normally, Sadie is a great shopper. I don't ever have to worry about it. But, she whined the whole time in Target. So, I whizzed through and headed to Kroger. It was even worse then. So, I gave her some juice, which normally will keep her quiet for the time being, but she just kept throwing it on the ground. She wasn't trying to be mean, she thought it was funny. So, finally, she threw it and it rolled under a shelf. I was all on fours trying to get this stupid cup out from under the shelf and it was disgusting when I pulled it out. So, no more juice, which made the rest of the shopping trip so much fun. We make it through that, and as I'm putting my groceries in the back of my car, some lady has a horrible wreck right before my eyes. Bless her heart. I think something happened with her wheels or something. But, I kept thinking...what if she had run over me and Sadie??? So, God definitely had His eyes on us during that part, and trust me, I was thankful, despite the crappy day I was having.
We get home, and it's lunch time, so you know what that means. Another round of "what the crap to feed Sadie!!!" So, after who knows how long, and only one piece of cheese bread, I give up, and she goes down for her nap. I forgot to mention, she's had a HORRIBLE diaper rash for the past 5 days, which has turned into blisters, so I had ended up calling the doctor this morning and making her an appt. for this afternoon. Luckily, Sadie's dr. had an appt. open at 4:15.
She gets up from her nap, and we head to the doctor. After waiting in the waiting room for 20 minutes, and then in the actual room for about 35, the doctor comes in. Notice I said "the doctor" and not "Sadie's doctor". The one dang doctor out of this 10-doctor practice that I cannot stand, which made me cry my eyes out when Sadie was 2 weeks old b/c she was such a jerk, comes walking in the room. I just give Dennis "the look". I'm like "you've got to be kidding me". She said that Sadie's doctor was still seeing patients, but that she was all done, so she told our doctor she would come in and see us. Gee, thanks...she was fine though, and prescribed an ointment for us to put on the rash, blah, blah, blah. She redeemed herself by giving us a "coupon" for the ointment where it would supposedly only cost us $10. Notice I said "supposedly".
So, I take the prescription to Walgreens and tell them I'll be back in an hour to pick it up. When I go to pick it up, the Pharmacist tells me that the "coupon" doesn't work at any of the major pharmacies, and she has no idea where we could use it. She wondered why our doctor hadn't told us that...I thought, "oh well, no coupon, no big deal". Well, she then goes on to tell me that the co-pay will be $100!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, I had to pay $100 for this ointment, which for most people might not be a big deal, but when I'm already stressed to the max about our financial situation to begin with, and...well, there's more.
I come home, and it's dinnertime, so by now, you know what that means. What to feed Sadie...we try about 4 different things, and I think Dennis finally got a thing of yogurt choked down her. I don't know what the deal is...
I go upstairs to fold Sadie's clothes in the dryer and discover our upstairs air conditioning unit has frozen up and is not working. Thank the Lord the weather people have said this week will be the hottest week of the year so far. What perfect timing!! Especially for a fat pregnant person who is sweating all of the time already anyways!
Whew! What a day, what a day. I feel like I may need to just go on and get in the bed before any other bad things head my way. But, in order to get in the bed, I have to go upstairs, which means "LET THE SWEATING BEGIN!"

Funny Rachel!

Anna, sounds like a bad day. And what is so funny when I read your blog is that I can hear you saying these things and see you in my head. And it is so real! And I am most sorry about the air conditioning. Cause I am not pregnant, but HATE to be hot! Hope the past two days have been better.
