I'm determined not to be like all of you other bloggers out there who have fallen off the wagon! I think ever since everyone got so involved in Facebook, it seems as though they have stopped keeping up with their blogs, and I am determined not to do that, although I have definitely been slacking.
Anyways, ever since Sadie's birthday, we have been struggling! Dennis got sick with a bad cold for a few weeks. Then, Sadie and I both started to get it last week, and now little Sawyer has it. I've joked that we sound like the TB hospital when you walk into our home because Sadie, Sawyer, and I all sound as though we are coughing up a lung at any given time. I've got Bronchitis, Sawyer has RSV, and Sadie probably just has a little of both. CRAZINESS!
I'm confident that we are all on the mend though. We've honestly been doing great as far as health goes for the past few months. It seemed as though everyone else and their kids were sick and I was so thankful that none of us had gotten anything. Well, when it rains, it pours.
Sawyer has to do breathing treatments just like Sadie did when she was his age. Not fun!!!
Here are a few pictures of Sawyer getting his first one, and below that is a picture of Sadie when she had to do her first one.
We have been having some good times too though. It's been SO nice to be able to go outside and play on the pretty days. I absolutely love it! I'm having Spring fever so bad and I get so mad when I see that it's supposed to rain because I love being outside and playing with Sadie and Sawyer.
Here's a cute video of them swinging together. Sadie thinks it's so cool that Sawyer is starting to actually do some things! She loves watching him swing with her.

Sadie is getting to be so indepedent these days. It freaks me out. She's such a big girl! She now will go and get her own shoes and put them on all by herself. She'll tell me that she wants her bow in her hair and her sunglasses on and her bracelet.
She cracks us up every single day. She is talking non-stop and I literally mean non-stop. Whew!
Sawyer is almost 8 months old now. He was actually starting to do a lot better with his sleeping habits until he got sick and now we're back to square one. Isn't that how it always works? Oh well...
I also registered Sadie for Mother's Day Out or pre-school or whatever you want to call it this past week. She will start in the Fall going 2 days a week for a couple of hours each day at our church. I wanted to vomit when I took her form in. I just don't think I'm ready for it, but I'm going to do it anyways. I know she will have the time of her life and I don't want to deprive her of that, although I'd much rather just have her hangin' out with me and Sawyer every day. A good friend told me that she received some advice from her aunt that said that our responsibility as parents is to prepare our kids for the real world and I feel as though this is Sadie's next step to preparing her for kindergarten. Of course I want to shelter her and have her all to myself, but I know that she will learn so much and have so much fun at Mother's Day Out. And, it'll also give me some quality time to spend with Sawyer on those days.
Anyways, that's about all the news from the Phillips household. We're just trying to get well around here.
My grandmother (dad's mom) is having major surgery this coming Friday. We hope and pray that she makes it through. So, lift up a prayer for her if you are reading this.
