Well, it's been way too long since I have blogged. Along with many of my fellow bloggers, I think we just get too busy. So, I am updating mine! Nothing too exciting, just a few notes of what's been going on lately at our house!
Sawyer and Sadie have become the best of friends. They play together all of the time and aside from a brother/sister disagreement every now and then, they get along GREAT! It's been a blessing!!!!
We've been going down to Dennis' grandad's farm a lot and having a ball. We're even changing some things around down there to make it more like home. The kids love it and we love it too, so hopefully we will continue spending lots of time down there. Of course Dennis is in heaven when I want to go down there, so that makes me happy. I know he is hoping that once deer season opens again in the Fall, I will want to come down there with him every weekend. Not so sure about that...we will have to wait and see.
Mothers Day came and went in a breeze this year. At the last minute on the Friday before Mother's Day weekend, I decided to join Dennis' mom and LJ in Hilton Head the following week, so most of my Mother's Day weekend was spent getting things ready for that. We did go to the farm all day on that Saturday and it was a great way to relax for me. Here are a few pics from that day.
The memories that we have made and will make down there will last a lifetime. Sometimes we wish we could just move down there and get away from all of the busyness of life.
Anyways, Sunday morning we got up and went to church. Here are the only 2 pictures we took that morning...
We went over to Dennis' grandparents house for lunch. The whole family was there and it was a lot of fun. Madness, of course, but lots of fun!
Later that afternoon, my mom and Butch came by and brought the kids a Barbie Jeep! Sadie was a little unsure at first because it's much bigger than the little pink car she drives around now, but once she got the hang of it, her and Sawyer rode around on it all night long.
Me and Rachel took my mom to the Cheesecake Factory for Mothers Day. We had so much fun!!!!
Last week I drove me and the kids to Hilton Head to spend the week with Dennis' mom and LJ. We had a blast. The place we stayed was unbelievable. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect set-up for me and the kids. We had tons of room and the resort had all kinds of pools, activities, etc. for the kids.
Sadie and Sawyer swam until they couldn't swim anymore. They were both 2 little fish!
So, that's what has been going on around here.
Our fitness center is closing this weekend, so we have to find a new place to go by next week! We're hoping it'll re-open soon because we love it there!!!!!
Next weekend, we are all heading to Atlanta to the Braves Game for Memorial Day weekend, so stay tuned!!!!! My mid-year resolution is to get better at updating my blog!
