Turkey Show 2010

Dennis took Sawyer to his 2nd annual Turkey Show at Opryland Hotel this weekend. Although Sawyer wouldn't let Dennis put him down for one second, he seemed to have a great time!
Here's a picture from last year and then one from this year. How sweet!!!

We went back that afternoon and took both kids and walked around until the show ended. Then, we ate dinner on the patio overlooking the big water show. It was great! Fun times with the fam!!!

February...so far

Two words to describe our first half of February...SLOW & SNOW! If this snow doesn't go away soon, I might lose my mind. I have never been more ready for sunshine and warm weather! I want to get outside and play!!!
We had a huge Superbowl bash at our house!! Okay, I'm joking. We did nothing. Here is a picture of Dennis' dinner plate the night of the Superbowl though. Wow...

Sadie likes to "read" her Bible. So, I had to take some pictures of her. She also likes to "read" it to Sawyer. Very sweet...

These next pictures are one day at lunchtime. Sawyer was so tired that he literally laid his head down on his highchair while eating lunch. Of course, Sadie had to do the same thing...

And, then there was Valentines! Ahhhhh, something fun in the boring month of February!!!
Here are the kids opening their Valentines goodies from me and Dennis on Sunday morning.
Sawyer got some M&M's in his bag and they all fell out of the package so he started gobbling them up as fast as he could get them in his mouth. It was hilarious!
Nothing like M&M's for breakfast!

Sadie was very excited about all of her goodies in her bag.

Anything else in here, Dada????

Thank you, Dada! Happy Valentines Day!!!

Here's to a much faster 2nd half of February and NO MORE SNOW!!!

January Fun!!

Where did January go? It flew by for me!!! We started with potty training, which went wonderful! It's already been 4 weeks and she's still done GREAT! Except for one accident during week 2, she has done amazing. We've gone through all of the hurdles of going to the bathroom in Target, Kroger, restaurants, etc.
We've even used our little potty that I was keeping in the back of the car for "emergencies only". We needed it terribly two times this week, so I'm thankful I had left it in there!
Here is a picture of her current "potty chart"! I asked my mom today when she thought I'd be able to stop letting Sadie put stickers on here every time she goes to the bathroom...

We had some awesome snow days this month as well. We made lots of memories. I hope and pray that Sadie isn't too young to remember them. She seems to have a good memory so far, just like her mommy. She tends to bring up things that I cannot believe she remembers from months ago. And, she will remember every little detail!
Here are a few pics from our snow days!

The kids have been having so much fun together. They play together so well and it's so much fun to sit back and watch. I can't even imagine life without them both.
Oh yeah...daddy joins in on the fun too!

Sawyer went in yesterday for his 18 month check-up. He weighs exactly 24 pounds. Still a pretty little fella! We gotta put some lbs. on this guy if he's gonna play football! ha ha
I've been planning Sadie's 3rd birthday party that will be in March. Just over a month away. CRAZY!!!!!
Although many days, I wonder how I will make it through the day, I wouldn't trade my life with my family for anything in the world. They make me who I am. They keep me getting up every morning (some mornings a little earlier than I'd like). They keep me trusting in my Everlasting Father for peace, patience, and love every single day! And, I have the greatest husband in the whole world who continues to be my rock. I'm the luckiest gal in the whole world!
